Zane grew up among the rolling foothills of the Carolina Piedmont, where he first discovered the imaginative worlds of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien— inspirations that led him to create his own album, Breezewood, a project about his life experiences and the imaginative world of C.S. Lewis.

Though he occasionally performs live, Zane spends most of his days as a stay‑at‑home father and musician, taking his children on hikes and exploring the rich landscapes of the Carolinas and enjoying his two dogs, and four cats. At home and in his community, Zane is devoted to cultivating beauty — nurturing imagination, connection, and creativity wherever he can.
